Strengthening Families 10-14 (SFP 10-14)
An evidence-based, family-centered program delivered
virtually to families with youth ages 10-14. The program meets three times per week: once with
parents/caregivers, once with youth, and once with the whole family. Parents explore strategies to
balance love and limits, strengthen communication, and set healthy boundaries. Youth focus on goal
setting, resisting peer pressure, substance use prevention, and improving communication with
caregivers. Family sessions bring these skills together to foster stronger relationships.
Fit & Fun Family Clubs (I2D2)
Delivered in schools (primarily grades 1–5) and in community or
virtual settings with families. The program promotes healthy habits by engaging youth in activities that
encourage increased fruit and vegetable consumption, greater physical activity, reduced sugary drink
intake, and reduced recreational screen time.
Botvin Life Skills Training:
An evidence-based curriculum typically implemented in schools with
middle and high school students. The program equips youth with skills to manage emotions, assess and
avoid risky behaviors (including substance use), resist peer pressure, and critically evaluate media and
social influences.
