The Youth Connection is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Southeast Michigan connecting youth to a brighter future. We are committed to providing high-quality youth programs, advocacy, and supportive services.
The Youth Connection Career Academies (TYCCA)
The Youth Connection Career Academies (TYCCA) is a program designed to expose, engage, and train metropolitan Detroit young adults ages 14-24 for careers and continuing education.
Health, Wellness, Prevention Division (HWPD)
The Youth Connection’s Health, Wellness Prevention Division (HWPD) programs provide FREE, highly interactive, skills-based programs designed to promote positive health and personal development for youth and families.
Community Outreach & Engagement (CORE)
Community Outreach and Engagement (CORE) is one of The Youth Connection’s three main branches, alongside Career Academies and Health & Wellness. CORE strengthens connections between youth, families, and the community through education, advocacy, and prevention. At its center is the Love Detroit Prevention Coalition (LDPC), a nationally recognized initiative that leads efforts like DEA Take Back, Rx Safety Storage, Red Ribbon Week, and Anti-Vaping Training. In short, CORE is our bridge to the community amplifying prevention, mobilizing resources, and ensuring families have access to the tools they need to thrive.
